RE: Application #M85-11, filed by the Salina City Heritage Commission requesting
adoption of the City of Salina's "Historic Resources Survey, Parts I and II"
as an element of the Comprehensive Plan.
On August 15, 1985, the Salina City Heritage Commission unanimously adopted the
second half of Salina's Historic Resources Survey and recommended that Parts I and
II be forwarded to the City Planning Commission for recommendation to the City
Commission that both parts of the survey be incorporated into the Comprehensive
Plan's Heritage Conservation component.
In accordance with K.S.A. 12-704, the Salina City Planning Commission conducted a
public hearing on November 5, 1985 in order to consider this matter. At that
time, a motion was unanimously approved (5-0) adopting Resolution #PC85-6. This
resolution approved the proposed addition to the Comprehensive Plan and formally
submits it to the City Commission and any other affected body for a 60-day review
and comment period which expires on January 17, 1986.
No action is necessary today, other than to receive the information and begin the
review process.
