The City Engineering staff and the Shaver Partnership will share in the
design, engineering, inspection and other technical services required for the
existing and new parking lots construction in the downtown area. All work
will be subject to final approval by the City Engineering staff. The Shaver
Partnership will be responsible for surveys, design, contract documents,
estimates, whereas the City will oversee bid advertisement and construction
inspection. The Board of Advisors of Business Improvement District #1 have
recommended that the Shaver Partnership be utilized for these services.
I recommend the Mayor be authorized to sign a contract between the City
and the Shaver Partnership in the amount of $65,280 for these services. That
is divided with $27,000 for existing parking and $38,280 for new parking.
