Bids were received on August 15, 1985, at lO:O0 A.M. for certain Sidewalk Improvements
at the Bicentennial Center (Project 85-731). The five (5) bids received are tabulated
bel ow:

(c) Frank Construction Company, Inc.

The bids were reviewed and all were found to be valid. It is recommended that the
contract for the sidewalk improvements (Project No. 85-731) be awarded to Bob Davis
Construction Company, who submitted the low bid of $12,625.00. The Engineer's Estimate
for this project was $23,225.00.
Due to the fact that the low bid was considerably below our estimate, we anticipate
writing a Change Order to extend the scope of work of this project to include the
replacement of additional defective sidewalks at the Bicentennial Center.
The proposal as submitted by Bob Davis Construction Company indicated work would
commence next week and should be completed within sixty (60) days.
