AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING, [3Y REFERENCE, THE 1985 EDITION OF
THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, AMENDING SECTION 8-176 OF THE SALINA
CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 8-176 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 8-176. Uniform Plumbing Code adopted.
In order to protect the public health and safety of the
City through the establishment of minimum regulations for
the installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of
plumbing and drainage systems, the provisions of the 1985
Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code and all appendices
thereto, are hereby incorporated, by reference, herein and
adopted as the plumbing code of the city, except as modified
by this article, of which not fewer than three (3) copies
have been, and now are flied in the Office of the City Clerk
and the same are hereby incorporated as fully as if set out
at length herein and the provisions thereof shall be
controlling in the installation, alteration, repair and
maintenance of all plumbing and drainage systems within the
corporate limits of the City."
Section 2. That the existing Section 8-176 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
