In Re: Application for Taxi Licenses by Al's City Taxi Co.
Dear Sirs and Madam:
A. L. Botts, a native of Salina, Kansas and a WW II veteran and
with 34 years experience in the taxi business, has formed Al's City
Taxi Co. with goals in mind to provide Public Transportation Service
not presently available in Salina or Saline County, plus provide employ-
ment for some of the unemployed in Saline County.
We wish to provide the following services:
1. 12 hours service from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and possibly
expanding to 18 hours.
2. Transportation of Persons, Bagg~,ge & Parcels.
3. Delivery of P~rcels, Luggage, Groceries, Express & Messages.
To this end result, Al's City Taxi Co. wishes to obtain two City
of Salina Licenses ~ith a possibility of five Licenses.
At present Al's City Taxi Co. has two vehicles:
A 1979 Chevrolet, license number SAB 05046
A 1973 Plymoi~th, license number SAB 93~24
The cars and tag numbers are good through March 1986. The driver,
Ken Van Allen; 222 So. Clark has a current 1985 City license.
We wish to begin oper~tion ~s soon ~s possible with 2 vehicles
with anticipated growth to 5 vehicles over the next 6 months.
