Second reading Ordinance No. 08-10476 rezoning a 40 acre tract of land at the southwest corner of
Magnolia Road and I-135 from A-1 (Agricultural) to PC-5 (Planned Service Commercial).
BACKGROUND:
Ordinance No. 08-10476 was passed on first reading on February 22, 2010 subject to final plat
approval along with first reading of an ordinance a nnexing the South 9.3 acres of the proposed
Magnolia Commons Addition into the city. Second reading of the ordinance annexing the South 9.3
acres of this tract into the city occurred on April 12, 2010 ahead of final zoning and plat approval to
insure that all property proposed to be included in the Magnolia Commons benefit district was inside
the city limits prior to the time a Resolution of Advisability and Authorization for the proposed benefit
district is considered on April 26.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. 08-10476 establishing a Plan ned Commercial zoning district for Magnolia
Commons on second reading.
