Bids were received on September 18, 1986 for the DowntOwn Redevelopment - Arcade
Construction Project. The bids received for the construction of four (4) separate
arcades are tabulated below:

The bids were reviewed by our office and were found valid. It is, therefore, our
recommendation that the contract for all four arcades (Project No. 86-740D) be
awarded to Hol§erson & Company, Salina, Kansas, who submitted the low bid on all four
arcades. The aggregate sum of Holgerson's four bids was $320,800. The architects
estimate for~ this project was $366,000.
