Bids were received on September ll, 1986, at lO:O0 a.m. for street improvements
consisting of latex modified slurry seal (Project No. 86-747). The sole bid received
is tabulated below:
(a) Ballou Construction Company, Inc.
$150,410.00
The bid was then reviewed by our office and found to be valid. It is our recommenda-
tion that the contract for the above improvements (Project No. 86-747) be awarded to
Ballou Construction Co., Inc., Salina, Kansas, who submitted the low bid of $150,41~00.
The Engineer's Estimate for this project was $168,000.00.
This project involves the placing of slurry seal on the following streets listed on
the attached sheet.
This project will be funded from the special gas tax and sales tax funds.
