The city of Salina is honored to be the host of the
State Seventeen-and-Eighteen year-old Babe Ruth
League Tournament; and
WHEREAS
Baseball remains the national pastime in the hearts
of most Salinans; and
WHEREAS
13abe Ruth Baseball in general and the state
tournament in particular provide opportunities
for players and fans to learn and practice the
highest forms of sportsmanship through an athletic
event; and
\¥HEREAS
The winner of this event will proudly represent the
entire State of Kansas in the Babe Ruth League
Regional Tournament
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Joseph 'M. Ritter, Mayor of the City of Salina,
Kansas do hereby proclaim the week of July 25-31,
