Approval of plans and specifications for Warehouse Extension, Project No. 99-1170.
BACKGROUND
This project involves a 30'x 80' extension to the north end of the Water Distribution Warehouse located
at 319 East Elm Street. Appleby & Marsh Architects have completed the contract documents to allow the
construction of this metal building extension.
Storage space for water distribution supplies and equipment is very limited at the present. The additional
space will provide adequate storage for copper tubing, meters, valves, fittings, repair clamps, warning
signs, pumps, etc.
Funding for this building extension project was provided in the 1999 C.I.P. budget. Construction work is
tentatively scheduled to be completed in November 1999.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Commission approve the filling of plans and specifications for Project No. 99-
1170, Warehouse Extension, and direct staff to set a date to receive bids.
