District. (See Attachment A which list applicant's tracts requested for
rezoning).
On December 17, 1985, the Salina City Planning Commission conducted a public
hearing on the above-referenced rezoning application. Upon conclusion of the
public hearing, a motion was unanimously (4-0-1) approved to recommend that this
application be appreved with the exception of Lots 24 and 26, Block 2, Bonds
Addition and based upon the following findings-of-fact:
1. The change in classification would be consistent with the intent and purpose
of the zoning ordinance;
2. The uses would remain residential and there would no problem with permitted
uses;.
3. There is adequate sewer and water facilities;
4. The change will not correct an urror;
5. The proposed amendment represents the desire by the citizens of the neighbor-
hood to retain a single-family area.
If you concur with this recommendation the attached ordinance 'should be placed on
first reading today. The protest period expired on December 31, 1985, and second
reading would be on January 13, 1985. The Saline County Treasurer certifies there
are no delinquent general taxes or special assessments on this property.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE
NUMBER 8526, THE SAME BEING CHAPTER 42 OF THE SALINA CODE, AND THE
ZONING DISTRICT MAP THEREIN AND THEREBY ADOPTED AND PROVIDING
FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY AND
PRESCRIBING THE PROPER USES THEREOF.
Whereas, all conditions precedent for the amendment of the Zoning
District Map, the rezoning of certain property therein, hereinafter described has
been timely complied with, and SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
