Resolution 87-3940 revises the fees charged for inspection and copying of
documents in the City's possession.
In accordance with the Kansas Open Records Act (K.S.A. 45-205:214), cities
may recover their costs for locating, copying and refiling documents requested
by the public. In computing these fees, we included all benefits in the per
minute charge and assumed locating, copying and refiling documents for most
requests could be accomplished within ten minutes.
The Following table compares the charges for our current fee structure and
that proposed in Resolution 87-3940.
