Bids were received on July 23, 1987 at 10:00 a.m. for certain water and sanitary
sewer extensiOns in Georgetown Addition; Mayfair Addition; Twin Oaks II Subdivision;
Wallerius Addition No. 2; and Key Acres Addition No. 2. The bids received for these
utility extensions (Project No. 87-752) are tabulated below:
(a) Wilson Constructors $184,497.00
(bi Smoky Hill, Inc. $203,536.25
(c) Stevens Contractors $231,196.25
(d) Busboom & Rauh $237,095.00
(e)B. A. Durst, Inc. $287,284.00
The five (5) bids were then reviewed by our office and all bids were found to be valid.
It is our recommendation that the contract for the above utility extensions (Project
No. 87-752) be awarded to Wilson Constructors, Salina, Kansas, who submitted the low
bid of $184,497.00. The Engineer's Estimate for this project was $235,445.00
This project will be funded entirely by special assessments against private property.
