Petition No. 3930 was filed by Kevin and Mary Bernhardt for the vacation of the
utility easement adjacent to Lots 9 and 10, Block 3, Replat of Schippel Addition.
Kansas Power & Light and the City do not have any existing facilities in the above
described utility easement and do not envision future utilization of this easement.
However, both Southwestern Bell and Salina Cable Television have buried conduits in
this easement and would be strongly opposed to any action to vacate this easement.
We are, therefore, recommending the request to vacate the utility easement adjacent
to Lots 9 and 10, Block 3, Replat of Schippel Addition be denied.
