First Reading Ordinance Number 87-g17§, adopting by reference the Standard
Traffic Ordinance for Kansas Cities as prepared and published by the League
of Kansas Municipalities, Edition of 1986; amending Section 38-1 of the Salina
Code and repealing the existing section.
This ordinance will be on the March 16, 1987 agenda for second reading.
This is the most recent edition of the Standard Traffic Ordinance for
Kansas Cities. Periodically, a new version is issued. There are no
significant changes from the prior edition. -

AH ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE TItE STANDARD TRAFFIC
ORDINAI'~CE FOR KANSAS CITIES AS PREPARED AND PUBLISHED BY THE
LEAGUE OF KANSAS MUNICIPALITIES, EDITION OF 1986; AMENDING SECTION
38-t OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by th~ Governing body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 38-1 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 38-1. Adoption of Standard Traffic Ordinance.
There is hereby incorporated by reference under
the provisions of K.S.A. 12-3009 through 12-3012, and
K.S.A. 12-3301 and 12-3302 for the purpose of regulating
traffic in the corporate limits of the city that certain
standard traffic ordinance known as "Standard Traffic
Ordinance for Kansas Cities, Edition of 1986", as prepared
and published in book form by The League of K~nsas
Municipalities, Topeka, Kansas. Not less than three copies
of such Standard Traffic Ordinance shall be filed with the
City Clerk to be open to inspection and available to the
public at all reasonable hours."
Section 2. That the existing Section 38-1 of the Salina Code is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
