I recommend that the bid received from Long McArthur Inc. be accepted
for the following reasons:
Marshall Motor Company's bid does not meet the specifications either in
engine size or in front seat construction.
J.J. Chevrolet falls short in three areas of our specifications: front
seat construction, bumper guards and power steering coolers. They have
indicated they are able t° provide the coolers at an additional cost of
$400~00, however not the seat or bumper guards.
A bench front seat was specified to enable our shotguns to be mounted on
the lower front seat in a locking gun rack.
