AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING, BY REFERENCE, THE 1988 EDITION OF
THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, AMENDING SECTION 8-176 OF THE SALINA
CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION; AND REPEALING SECTIONS
8-178, 8-180, 8-181, 8-182, 8-183, 8-153.1, 8-185, 8-186, 8-187, 8-188, 8-189,
8-190
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governlng Body of the City of Saline,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 8-176 of the Saline Code Is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 8-176. Uniform Plumbing ,Code adopted.
In order to pr'erect the public health and safety of the
City through the establishment of minimum regulations for
the installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of
plumbing and drainage systems, the provisions of the 1988
Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code and all appendices
thereto, are hereby incorporated, by reference, herein and
adopted as the plumbing code of the City, except as modified
by this article, of which not fewer than three (3) copies
have been, and now are filed in the Office of the City Clerk
and tire same are hereby incorporated as fully as if set out
at length herein and the .provisions thereof shall be
controlling in the installation, alteration, repair and
maintenance of ali plumbing and drainage systems within the
corporate limits of the City."
Sectrcn_ 2_., That the' existing Sect.ons 8-176, 8-178~ 8-180, 8-181,
$-182, 8-183, 8-183.1, 8-185, 8-186, 8-187, 8-188, 8-189, 8-190 of the Saline
Code are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall tal~e effect and be in full force
frofl'~ ano after ils adoption and' publication once in the official newspaper.
