Award of contract for the 1990 Water Main Improvements, Project Number 90-815.
Background
This project addresses waterline improvements in seven different locations
primarily in the West Cloud Street area. The eastern portion of the city will
also benefit from this project. A section of watermain will be installed on
Crestview Drive between Overhill Road and Hilldale Road to enhance fire flow
capability and improve circulation in this area. The 1990 utility budget
allocates $400,000 in capital outlay funds for improvements in the water and
sewer system to fund this project and other projects.
Three valid bids were received for this project on Tuesday, December 11, 1990
as follows:

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Commission award the contract for 1990 Water Main
Improvements Project No. 90-815 to Stevens Contractors, Inc. in the amount of
$42,218.00.
