Page 1 3 DEVELOPMENT SERVICES PLANNING ~A BY: Dean Andrew ITEM: Acceptance of public right-of-way and easement dedications for the West Diamond Drive Infrastructure project. BACKGROUND: Com.Co. of Kansas, Inc. is the record owner of a 36 acre tract of land located on the north side of West Diamond Drive. This property was annexed into the city in 2007 but is unplatted and zoned Agricultural. In order to facilitate the paving of West Diamond Drive and the extension of a water line loop for fire protection purposes, Com. Co. of Kansas, Inc. agreed to dedicate 40 ft. of right-of-way for the North half of West Diamond Drive and a 20 ft. water line easement for the looped water line. This is being done by separate instrument because Com.Co. is not yet ready to plat the property. This project has been bid and the bid has been awarded to Smoky Hill Construction. Acceptance of these public dedications will allow construction to move forward on the north side of Diamond Drive. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Accept the offered street right-of-way and water line dedications from Com.Co. of Kansas, Inc.
