Approval of Bicentennial Center Roof Project and setting of date to receive
bids on the project.
Background
This project involves the installation of a new single membrane roof over
Heritage Hall in an effort to correct water leakage problems. The current roof
is 11 years old and was installed with the original building construction.
This proposed roofing method is similar to that used on other public buildings
and has proven to be effective.
It is anticipated that, pending receipt of valid bids, construction on this
project could be completed this fall.
The 1990 budget allocates $75,000 in sales tax funds for completion of this
roofing project.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Commission set Tuesday, July 10, 1990 as the
date to receive bids for roofing improvements on Heritage Hall.
