Bids were received on May 1, 1990 at 10:00 a.m. for the installation of chain
link fencing (Project No. 90-800). The bids received are tabulated below:
(a) Wichita Fence Co., Inc.: $18,420.00
(b) ARK Fence Co., Inc.: $19,802.37
(c) Dellinger Fence Co.: $19,928.00
(d) American Fence Co.: $23,410.00
The four (4) bids received were reviewed and found to be valid. The engineer's
estimate for this fencing project was $22,000.00.
The scope of work includes the installation of outfield fencing on five (5)
ball diamonds at Bill Burke Park and fencing at the south ball diamond located
at East Crawford Recreation Complex.
Steve Snyder is scheduled to be present at the meeting to discuss funding, etc.
for this fencing project.
It is our recommendation, therefore, that the City Commission award the
contract for Project No. 90-800 (Ball Field Fencing) to Wichita Fence Co., Inc.
who submitted the low bid of $18,420.00. They indicated work would commence on
May 20, 1990 and be completed by May 30, 1990.
