Approval for the City to accept proposals for disposal of surplus property:
One (1) Rupp CFA Series Direct Fired Gas Make-up Heater,
B.T.U. located at Fire Station No. 3, 2633 Belmont.

This heating appliance was installed as a back-up furnace to quickly heat the
apparatus bay area at Fire Station No. 3, if, for some reason, the primary
heating system was not w. orking.
The unit.was installed when the building was built in 1986 and has never been
turned on.
The primary heating works well and a large back up system is not necessary.
Recommendation
It is recommended that staff send out a notice to local heating and air condi-
tioning vendors and'ask for them to submit a proposal to purchase the surplus
equipment .if they desire. Set the date of November 19, 1991 to receive bids.
