(4.1) The Week of February 17 through 23, 1991 - "ENGINEERS WEEK."
The proclamation will be read by Greg Weatherd, President of the Smoky
Valley Chapter of the Kansas Engineering Society.
(4.2) The Year 1991 - "THE YEAR OF THE LIFETIME READER." The
proclamation will be read by Joe McKenzie, Director of the Salina Public
Library.
5. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR A CERTAIN TIME
(5.1) Public Hearing on an application for property tax exemption
submitted by Premier Pneumatics, Inc.
(5.1a) Resolution Number 91-4275, exempting certain property owned by
Premier Pneumatics, Inc., located at 606 North Front Street, Salina,
Kansas, from ad valorem taxation and providing for certain in lieu of tax
payments.
6. CONSENT AGENDA
(6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting February 4, 1991.
(6.2) Set the date of February 26, 1991 to receive bids for the demolition
of 4 structures from the 1990 Dangerous Structures Project.
(6.3) Petition Number 4005, filed by the University United Methodist
Church for the vacation of the south ½ of the north-south alley between
Kirwin and Claflin Streets, at 1509 South Santa Fe, between the Church and
the parking lot on the east side of the alley.

8, ADMINISTRATION
(8.1) Consideration of a trial program in newspaper recycling.
(8.1a) Resolution Number 91-4276, authorizing the Mayor to execute a
contract with Curtis Fiber Corporation, Wellsville, Kansas, for newspaper
recycling, for a trial period ending August, 1991, at a cost not to
exceed $3,600.
(8.2) Approve the preliminary official statement for General Obligation
bond issue P-237.
