4.1 NAIW Week NAIW WEEK PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, professional insurance women make a
significant contribution to the risk
at~d insurance industry, and
WHEREAS, they are increasingly effective locally
and statewide in promoting public aware-
ness of such important issues as tort
reform, automobile safety and the problem
of drinking and driving, and
WHEREAS, they endeaw~ to ~'eaffirm to the industry
as a whole the ~,.ighest p,'ofess[onal
standards, and
WHEREAS, they are working effectively on a national
level as the National Association of
Insurance Women (International), which has
reached a merr, b~rship of ~noce than t7,000,
and
WHEREAS, professional insurance womet~ have earned
recognition for their outstanding accom-
plishments in the economically vi~'al
insurance industry;
NOW, THEREFORE., £, Carol Beggs , do
proclaim May 17 through 23, 1992, as NAIW
Week, and urge our citizens to do honor to
the women who are performing such important
and diverse roles throughout the risk and
insurance industry;
