Change Order No. I for YMCA Drive River Crossing, Project No. 93-881.
Background
This project involved the replacement of the Old Smoky Hill River crossing on
YMCA Drive after it was washed out during a heavy storm in July. The river
crossing collapsed on July 7, 1993, and was totally replaced and back in service
on August 27, 1993.
The attached change order in the amount of $5,770 includes additional structural
concrete for the box culvert, additional concrete curb and gutter to restore the
street drainage and additional concrete pipe to extend an existing storm inlet
lateral to the end of the new culvert. These alterations have been reviewed and
approved by the City Engineer.
The source of funds for this project and the change order is the special gas tax
fund. The total project cost is $65,562.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission approve Change Order No. I for the
YMCA Drive River Crossing, Project No. 93-881 in the amount of $5,770.

THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 20TH day of DECEMBER ,
1993, by and between the CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, Owner, and the above named Contractor,
modifies the existing contract dated July 26, 1993 , under the above subject,
project and project number in the following particulars to wit:
1. The specifications and drawings for certain street improvements in the City of
Salina, Kansas, dated July - 1993 , are hereby amended in the
following particulars only; all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

2. The undersigned proposes to furnish all tools, appliances, equipment, materials,
and labor required to complete the construction in a thorough, workmanlike, and
satisfactory manner in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and contract
