Approve the plans and specifications for the Mark]ey/Magno]ia Water Distribution
System Improvements, Project No. 93-860, and set the date to receive bids.
Background
This project involves the installation of approximately three mi]es of water
distribution pipeline from the intersection of Ohio and Magnolia to the new
water tower on Mark]ey Road. This wi]] provide the necessary water system loop
to serve the tower as we]] as allowing for future development in this area of
the city. As you are aware, the new water tower provides a much needed
redundant water storage facility for East Sa]ina.
The project is part of the 1993 Capita] Improvement Program. The source of
funds for the project is revenue bonds. If approved, the pipeline and tower
system wi]] be operational by Oecember 1, 1993.
RECOMMENOATION
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the plans and specifications
for the Mark]ey (Magnolia Water Distribution System Improvements, Project No.
93-860, and set Tuesday, July 27, 1993 as the date to receive bids.
