License Agreement to allow right-of-way encroachment on South Santa Fe Avenue.
BACKGROUND
The attached license agreement has been developed at the request of Mr. Kenneth Rinke, president
of Salina Taco's Inc. The purpose of the agreement is to allow installation of a commercial sign,
which will extend into the Santa Fe Avenue right-of-way, for Taco John's at 303 South Santa Fe
Avenue. Sketches of the property and proposed sign have been attached for your review.
The existing Taco John's sign encroaches Santa Fe Avenue right-of-way by two(2) feet. The
applicant has proposed to replace the existing with a larger sign which will encroach the public right-
of-way by five(5) feet. No public utilities or other public facilities will be adversely affected by this
proposed installation.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission approve the request from Mr. Kenneth Rinke and
authorize the mayor to sign the license agreement as presented.
