Approval of the plans and specifications for Street and Utility Improvements in
Laurie Subdivision and Tasker Addition, Project No. 93-873, and setting the date
to receive bids.
Background
The City Commission has previously approved two petitions for street, water,
sanitary sewer and storm drainage improvements in Laurie Subdivision and Tasker
Addition. Plans and specifications have been developed for these improvements
to be accomplished as one project.
The estimated cost of the improvements is $861,276.55. Both subdivision
improvements will initially be funded 100% by the City with general obligation
bonds, wh~le the petitioners will submit a letter of credit in the amount of 35%
of the project costs at the time of construction contract award. When the
properties in the benefit district have been 35% developed, the letter of credit
will be released.
This project will provide 22 developable lots in Laurie Subdivision and 45
developable lots in Tasker Addition, all for single family residential
development. Completion of the project is anticipated in September, 1993.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the City Commission approve the plans and specifications for
Project No. 93-873 and set Tuesday, June 8, 1993 as the date to receive bids.
