83-3682 Acquire EasementsJ 1 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT IT IS NECESSARY THAT THE CITY OF SALINA ACQUIRE CERTAIN LAND FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF EAST CRAWFORD STREET AND THAT THE MAYOR BE AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE SUCI INSTRUMENTS AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO DEDICATE SAID PROPERTY FOR SAII PURPOSES. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That it is hereby determined necessary that the City of Salina acquire the following interests in the following described real estate for the improvements to East Crawford Street: (A). Temporary Easement in the following property: A tract of land located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWJ NEW) of Section Twenty (20), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south right-of-way line of Crawford Street said point being 300.00 feet east and 50.00 feet south of the northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWk NEk) of said Section 20; thence south and perpendicular to the north line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NW4 NES) a distance of 25.00 feet; thence west and parallel with the north line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWk NES) a distance of 100.00 feet; thence north and perpendicular to said north line a distance of 25.00 feet to a point on the south right-of-way line of Crawford Street; thence east along said south right-of-way line a distance of 100.00 feet back to the point of beginning. The above described tract of land contains 0.06 acres, more or less. (B). A Permanent Easement in the following property: A tract of land located in the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NEJ NWJ) and the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWS NEJ) of Section Twenty (20) , Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south right-of-way line of Crawford Street, said point being 100.00 feet east and 50.00 feet south of the northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NW4 NE4) of said Section 20; thence south and perpendicular to the north line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWS NE4) a distance of 25.00 feet; thence west and parallel with the north line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWJ NEJ) and the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NEk NWk) a distance of 300.00 feet; thence north and perpendicular to the north line of said Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (NEJ NWf) a distance of 25.00 feet to a point on the south right-of-way line of Crawford Street; thence east along said south right-of-way line a distance of 300.00 feet back to the point of beginning. The above described tract of land contains 0.17 acres, more or less. Section 2. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute such insruments as may be necessary to convey the above described interests in said real estate to the General Public for use in the improvement of East Crawford Street. Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
