83-3681 Adv Improve Georgetown, Presbyterian Manor, Country Hills1 1 RESOLUTION NUMBER 83-3681 (Published in The Salina Journal Du ct ,.1983) A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE ADVISABILITY OF CERTAIN CURBING, GUTTERING, PAVING, GRADING, COMPACTION, DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, ESTIMATING THE COST THEREOF, DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE IMPROVEMENT D-ISTRICT, METHOD OF ASSESSMENT, AND APPORTIONING THE COST BETWEEN THE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND THE CITY -AT -LARGE. WHEREAS, the public hearing on the advisability of the following improvements, to -wit: Curbing, guttering, paving, grading, compaction, drainage structures and utility improvements in CRAWFORD STREET from the east line of Marymount Road to the East City Limit of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. was held as provided by Resolution Number 83-3672, adopted and approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, on the 7th day of November, 1983. WHEREAS, notice of public hearing on the advisability of the said improvements has been published in the Salina Journal, the official city newspaper on the 9th and 16th day of November, 1983, as provided by said Resolution and K.S.A. Sections 12-6a01 to 12-6a18. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, met in the Commissioners Room, in the City -County Building, on the 21st day of November, 1983, at 4:00 p.m., for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the advisability of said improvements, said hearings were finally adjourned on the 21st day of November, 1983, as provided by law, SO NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, herreFy finds and finally determines that it is advisable to make the following improvements, to -wit: Curbing, guttering, paving, grading, compaction, drainage structures and utility improvements in CRAWFORD STREET from the east line of Marymount Road to the East City Limit of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. Section 2. The extent or boundaries of the proposed improvement district tome assessed is: That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, desribed as follows, to -wit: South 221.48' of Lot 7, Block 2, Georgetown Addition. South 221.21' of Block 5, Georgetown Addition. South 69.19' of Lots 5 and 6, and all of Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, Block 8, Georgetown Addition. South 215.81' of Lot 7, South 33.19' of Lot 10, all of Lots 11 , 12, 13, South 33.25' of Lot 14, South 33.25' of Lot 19, all of Lots 20 and 21, Block 5, Replat of Blocks 4, 10, 11, 12, Georgetown Addition. South 68.83' of Lot 9, all of Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, Block 6, Replat of Blocks 4, 10, 11, 12, Georgetown Addition. South 300 feet of Lot 1, Block 1 , Presbyterian Manor Subdivision. All of Country Hills Addition Number 1. All of Lots 2, 3, 4, Block 1 , Country Hills Addition Number 2. rJ 1 1 All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Country Hills Addition Number 2. The North 300' of the East 1,211.73' of the Northwest Quarter (NWf) of Section Twenty (20), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian. The North 300' of the West 1,303.80' of the Northeast Quarter (NEJ) of Section Twenty (20), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian. Section 3. The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $699,703.00-FeUeral Funds and $253,234.00 local funds. Section 4. The proposed apportionment of cost between the imp district an tie ity-at-large is as follows: I. Costs chargeable to private property in the amount of $25,323.00. 2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the amount of $227,911.00. Section 5. The assessment, with accrued interest, shall be levied as a special assessment tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent with the general property tax and shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual installments. Section 6. The method of assessment shall be based on the adjusted front footage o each lot of land and without regard to buildings or improvement of the land. Section 7. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the public hearing on the advisa i i�f ty the improvement set out in Section 1 hereof, is hereby finally adjourned.
