83-3673 Order PH Improvements Georgetown, Presbyterian Manor, Country Hills Add #21 1 (Published in The Salina Journal 1983) A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF CERTAIN CURBING, GUTTERING, PAVING, GRADING, COMPACTION, DRAINAGE SRUCTURES AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS IN A CERTAIN DISTRICT AND GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: That a public hearing shall be held by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, on the advisability of the following improvements: Curbing, guttering, paving, grading, compaction, drainage structures and utility improvements in CRAWFORD STREET from the east line of Marymount Road to the East City Limit of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. on the 21st day of November, 1983, at 4:00 o'clock p.m., in the City Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, as provided by K.S.A. 12-6a01 to 12-6a18. The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such hearing in the official city newspaper in the manner provided by law. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF CERTAIN CURBING, GUTTERING, PAVING, GRADING; COMPACTION, DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS IN CRAWFORD STREET FROM MARYMOUNT ROAD EAST TO THE CITY LIMITS LINE NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing as provided by K.S.A. 12-6a01 to 12-6a18, in the City Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on the 21st day of November, 1983, at 4:00 o'clock p.m. to consider the advisability of the following improvements: Curbing, guttering, paving, grading, compaction, drainage structures and utility improvements in CRAWFORD STREET from the east line of Marymount Road to the East City Limit of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. The estimated or probable cost of such improvements is $699,703.00 Federal Funds and $253,234.00 local funds. The proposed apportionment of cost between the improvement district and the City -at -large is as follows: I. Costs chargeable to private property in the amount of $25,323.00. 2. Costs chargeable to the City -at -large in the amount of $227,911.00. The assessment, with accrued interest, shall be levied as a special assessment tax upon the property included within the benefit district concurrent with the general property tax and shall be payable in ten (10) equal annual installments. The method of assessment shall be based on the adjusted front footage of each lot of land and without regard to buildings or improvement of the land. The hearing may be adjourned from time to time until the Board of Commissioners shall have made findings by Resolution as to the advisability of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of the cost between the district and the City -at -large, all as finally determined by the Board of Commissioners, provided, the area of the improvement district may be less than, but shall not exceed the area proposed to be assessed as stated in this notice without giving notice and holding a new hearing on the improvement. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting. D. L.
