A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND FILING WITH THE DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT OF A JOBS BILL APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1983;
DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF
SALINA TO ACT IN CONNECTION WITH THE APPLICATION; AND TO PROVIDE SUCH ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION AS MAY BE REQUESTED.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the City of Salina, Kansas, prepare and file with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development an application for federal assistance
under the Emergency Jobs Appropriations Bill of 1983 for federal fiscal year
1983.
Section 2. That the City Manager be designated as the applicant's
chief executive officer and authorized representative.
Section 3. As the chief executive officer and authorized
representative of the applicant, the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign
and file the application, including all understandings, certifications, and
assurances contained therein, to act in connection with the application and to
provide such additional information as may be required.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
27th day of June, 1983.
