RESOLUTION NUMBER 82-3621
A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ADJACENT TO
THE CITY -COUNTY BUILDING AND PUBLIC LIBRARY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That in accordance with the provisions of Section 22-145
of the Salina Code, the following parking restrictions and regulations shall
apply to the parking areas surrounding the City -County Building and the Salina
Public Library, to -wit:
(a) That the maximum time for parking of motor vehicles shall
be as designated on the attached area map which is marked
Exhibit A and made a part hereof by reference.
(b) All full time employees of the City, County, U.S.D. # 305 and
Public Library, whose place of employment is in the City -County
Building or Public Library, shall be issued parking permits which
shall entitle them to park in excess of times indicated on Exhibit A
in those areas designated as "Employee Parking".
(c) Jurors and similar patrons shall be issued one -day parking
permits which shall entitle them to park in excess of the time
ind.i.cated.on Exhibit A; provided however, that this exemption
shall not apply to either the 15 minute or 30 minute time zones.
(d) Enforcement of these regulations and fines for violations shall
be the same as those provided for other public parking areas.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to implement these
regulations and to adopt the necessary administrative procedures and to make all
decisions necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution.
Section 3. That the provisions of this resolution shall be in effect
upon adoption of this resolution and upon the installation of the appropriate
signs or markings giving notice thereof.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 1st
day of November, 1982.
