RESOLUTION NUMBER 87-3895
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR
VACATION OF A PORTION OF CITY STREET.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed in the Office of the Saline County
Clerk by Marie E. Wauhob Hahn, petitioner, requesting the vacation of that
portion of North Fifth Street described as follows:
Beginning at the South right-of-way line of Interstate 70
Highway, where the highway crosses Fifth Street; thence
South on Fifth Street, a distance of nine hundred (900) feet
and terminating approximately seventy (70) feet south of the
'south end of Mulberry Creek Bridge, total length = nine
hundred (900) feet. This includes all existing roadway
rights-of-way as shown in the County Road Records in the
Kansas Highway Commission Plans of 1919, under Federal Aid
Project #44;
and,
WHEREAS, the petition has been referred to the City of Salina as it
relates to that portion of the street within the city limits of the City of Salina,
SO NOW, THEREFORE
Kansas:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to give public
notice as required by K.S.A.
12-504 stating
that the petition has been filed
for
such vacation of city street,
describing the
property fully, and stating the
day
upon which the petition will be
presented to
the Governing Body of the City
for
a hearing thereon, and that
at such time and
place all persons interested
can
appear and be heard under the
petition.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
1st day of June, 1987.
