RESOLUTION NUMBER 8974069
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND THE
CITY CLERK TO ATTEST A REAL ESTATE CONTRACT FOR ACQUISITION OF
THE FOX THEATRE FROM DICKINSON, INC., AND ACCEPTING A WARRANTY
DEED FOR THE PROPERTY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
IKansas:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the
the City Clerk to attest a real estate contract for acquisition of the Fox Theatre
as a gift from Dickinson, Inc.
Section 2. That the warranty deed for the Fox Theatre property,
including a covenant prohibiting commercial theatre first -run film . or video motion
picture presentations for a period of twenty (20) years, is hereby accepted and
the City Clerk is directed to record such warranty deed with the Saline County
Register of Deeds upon delivery by Dickinson, Inc.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
20th day of March, 1989.
