Background
Walters-Morgan Const., Inc., the contractor for this project, has requested
consideration of several revisions to the contract documents. These project
modifications include the following-
(a) Lower the compressive strength requirement of the
concrete used for underground electrical ducts: -$2,520.00
(b) Delete the water meter and strainer on the potable
waterline- -$857.13
(c) Replace four (4) gate valves at the existing
Primary Clarifiers: +$7,637.62
(d) Add 12" base rock at the Waste Activated Sludge
(WAS) Storage Building' +$2,684.99
(e) Increase size of electrical wiring at the Grit
Removal/Corrosion Control Building to accommodate
larger blowers. Also, relocate a motor control center
in this building: +$1,240.79
(f) Replace sections of existing 24" clay pipeline with
cast iron pipeline at Primary Clarifiers: +$7,779.29

We have reviewed the proposed modifications and concur with our consultant (Wilson
& Co.) the cost adjustment for each of the six (6) proposals listed above fairly
addresses the material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs to perform the work
as specified.
Recommendation
It is recommended the City Commission approve Change Order No. 2 (Project No.
90-804) in the net amount of $15,965.56.
