The final breakdown has been filed by the City Engineer for Engineering Project
91-830, for sidewalk improvements on the North side of Ellsworth Avenue from the
west line of Ohio Street to the east line of Roach Street.
The total cost of the project is $11,212.47
Property Owner's Share = $ 4,325.12
City's share = $ 6,887.35
A public hearing on the proposed assessments is to be scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
Monday, February 1, 1993.
At the conclusion of the public hearing on February 1, 1993, an assessment
ordinance should be introduced for first reading. The assessment ordLuance will be
scheduled for adoption ou February 8, 1993 and publication on February 12, 1993.
On that date the property owners will be mailed a notice giving them an
opportunity to pay the principal cost of the improvement with no interest cost.
March 15, 1993 the 30 day period ends to pay cash with no interest costs.
March 22, 1993 the City Commission will be asked to set April 12, 1993 to receive
bids on the sale of General Obligation, Internal Improvement Bonds.
May 20, 1993 is the scheduled date for bond closing.
Recommended action
Set Monday, February 1, 1993 for a public hearing on the proposed assessments
and instruct the City Clerk to publish a notice of the public hearing, and to mail
a notice of the public hearing to each property owner in the benefit district.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS
SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS
[ Engineering Project 91-830]
TO ALL PERSONS CONCERNED:
The Board of commissioners of the City of SaHna, Kansas, will meet
in the City Commission Meeting Room, Room 200, City-County Building,
300 West Ash Street, Salina, Kansas, on Monday, the 1st day of February,
1993, at four o'clock p.m., C.S.T., to consider the proposed assessments for
the following improvements, to-wit:
Curb line sidewalk along the north side of ELLSWORTH AVENUE
from the west line of Ohio Street to the east line of Roach Street.
as authorized by Resolution Number 90-4269, passed by the Board of
Commissioners on the 28th day of January, 1991.
The total cost of such improvements to property owners is
$4,325.12.
The extent or boundaries of the improvement district to be assessed
is:
That part of the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described
as follows, to-wit:
Lots 10 through 18, Replat of Block 3, Claflin's Addition
to the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University
Lots 10 through 18, Block 4, Claflins's Addition to the
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University,
all in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting and
thereupon the amount of the assessment will be finally determined.
The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection in the
Office of the City Clerk, Suite 206, City-County Building, 300 West Ash
Street, Salina, Kansas.
