Lon Item Second Reading Ordinance Number 94-9647 amending Chapter 7, Section 7-121, of the Salina Code regarding the licensing of Commercial Animal Establishments. This ordinance was submitted for first reading on August 15, 1994: and Was ;~ approved at that time. The ordinance simply changes the expiration date of ~ ~ this type of license to December 31. This is the normal expiration{ date for licenses issued by the City Clerk's Office. No comments, written or oral, have been received regarding this chalige. Recommendation Adopt Ordinance Number 94-9647. COMMISSION ACTION MOTION BY SECOND BY THAT: (First published in the Salina Journal on August , 1994) ORDINANCE NUMBER 94-9647 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, SECTION 7-12! OF THE SALINA CODE REGARDING THE LICENSING OF COMMERCIAL ANIMAL ESTABLISHMENTS; AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Chapter 7, Section ?-121 of the Salina Code shall be amended to read as follows: "Section 7-121. Expiration; renewal. All licenses shall expire on December $1st of the current year. Licensees shall be advised by written notice of the City Clerk sixty days prior to the license expiration date, for the purpose of renewal. The licensee shall then apply to the City Clerk for license renewal at least thirty days prior to the license expiration date to assure continuous licensing. Section 2. That any licenses currently issued to Commercial Animal Establishments shall not expire until December 31, 1995. Section 3. That the existing Section 7-121 of the Salina Code is hereby repealed. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
