Second Reading Ordinance Number 94-9643, amending Section 2-162 of the
Salina Code regarding membership of the Salina Arts and Humanities Commi.ssion.
BackgrOund
This ordinance was presented for first reading on August 8, 1994 and was
approved at that time.
The ordinance will allow for the: change in membership of~ the Arts and
Humanities Commission from 10 members to 12 members.
Recommendation

ORDINANCE NUMBER 94-9643
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-162 OF THE SALINA CODE
REGARDING MEMBERSHIP OF THE SALINA ARTS AND HUMANITIES COMMISSION,
AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 2-162 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 2-162. Membership{ appointment; term.
The said commission shall eons;st of twelve (12) members,
which shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the
Board of Commissioners. The initial appointments to the
commission shall be for one, two and three year terms and
thereafterall appointments shall be for a term of three year's and
until a successor is qualified; provided no person shall be
appointed for more than two consecutive full terms."
Section 2. That the existing Section of the Salina Code is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
